Prophetic Word for 2010: Year of the New...

This year is will be a year of the new. New life, new growth, new relationships, new promises, new ideas, new beginnings and some will discover their purpose and calling this year.

  • The enemy will cause distractions within the earth to try to distract from what God is doing and the blessings that He is bringing upon His people but God says to keep your eyes upon Him. Do not allow yourself to be distracted by what the enemy might attempt to do. Keep your eyes upon the Lord.
  • Their will be a rearranging within the church, new ministries will begin and new leaders will be set into place. New relationships within the body will strengthen the church and because of this rearranging the relationships amongst leaders will be stronger than ever before. There will be greater unity than ever before.
This is a year of reconciliation for many. Those who have been at odds will find reconciliation this year.
  • This year is also a year of debt cancellation, those who have been struggling in their finances and struggling to pay off debt will begin to see an end to this battle. Some may experience entire debt cancellations others will see debt paid off quicker than usual.
  • It is a year of restoration of families and new beginning for many marriages. There will be a higher standard and sacred respect for marriage and a greater purity within marriages that the Lord will release into the church.
This year is the year that those who are unknown in the church will begin to step out and make a difference for the kingdom. This will begin in the Spring. Testimonies will be heard and many will ask who these people are. They are the church that is stepping up into their purposes without the permission of man but the commissioning of God.
  • There will be a greater division of two extremes in politics within the United States. This will allow for a divine rearrangement within the government that will change who has the power of influence on a day to day basis. This may not be seen so much on the outside as in drastic change but the political influence will change within. Decisions will be made but greater influence from the those the Lord has set in place will arise. Due to struggles perceived from the outside within the government we will begin to see many Americans standing up to create change and a greater hunger to see change. At this time revival will come and the revolution of the country will begin with a move of the Holy Spirit. There will be mass salvation across the US and into the world in all areas of life, towards the end of this year. This will create a greater need for practical discipleship of living in the Spirit and study of the Word of God.
  • Because of the greater need for equipping and sending out the Lord is raising up the apostolic ministry in this hour. We will see this area of ministry strengthen and grow in this year and many apostolic ministries will see great growth and expansion.

Finally, to the church as a whole God says the harvest is ripe and ready. It awaits you as you step out in obedience and are led by My Spirit. Just as I told the disciples to cast their nets on the other side of the boat when they had been fishing all day, so I tell you in this hour cast your net out and see what I will do. (John 21)

Restoration

What has been on my heart today is the subject on how others choices can bring so much hurt and pain to yours no matter how much you live right, go after God etc. I look at all of the pain I have experienced personally and also my family over the years and it has all been as a result of someone’s bad decision. Everything from my car accident and having someone else make a bad decision to drive into oncoming traffic and hurting me to my niece and nephew being born disabled and dying last year. It is so frustrating when you feel you are powerless to do anything about those type of things.

However, one thing I have been thinking about as well is how faithful the Lord is regardless of what “happens”. If you are faithful on your end how He always redeems you. He may not erase the experience but He does restore. Thinking of the story of Job and how everything was taken from him and it was no fault of his own. He was inflicted so badly and soo many around him had so much to say about it. Yet God still used it for good and he was blessed far greater than he had been before. I think that sometimes God works that way in our lives to develop character. He uses the things that “happen” to try us and refine us so that when we are blessed we are able to handle it. Knowing the source of blessing is just as important if not more than being blessed. If for a minute we think it is due to ourselves or anyone else we will be crushed underneath it.

I wanted to say to those who might be experiencing a situation where someone is making bad decisions that are impacting you, that God still see’s your faithfulness and that you will not go down in defeat. Yes the pain and the suffering are very real but you can also offer them up or the situation up to God as a sacrifice just as Abraham offered up his son Isaac. God may come to the rescue and turn the situation around, or like Abraham said in that same chapter…God may choose to bring restoration. He knew that God could raise Isaac from the dead if He needed to and that must be our heart as well. If God needs to He can recreate and restore.

I don’t know who this is for but I want to testify to you that even though many others have hurt my life God is using it all for His glory in the process of restoring my life. He is a big God and nothing you face or go through…not a tear that you cry is unseen. Know that He will redeem your faithfulness no matter what.

Process

Today I was thinking on the process of moving ahead towards your destiny…how do we move ahead when we do not know the whole picture? Usually when we receive a prophetic word we get only part of the whole picture, it is a blink in time a peak-a-boo into the future. We may not have every detail and we have to respond in faith.

When I was in the missions training program at OCC, I was very passionate about being a missionary. I longed to see the nations saved and people changed. I was excited about all the cultural differences, languages, clothing and learning the heart of a nation and how they could offer up praise to the Lord no other nation could…each unique. I was the first one through the program because of my passion. Yet I remember one day sitting in a coffee house with friends and talking about how we knew God was calling us to be missionaries. I was troubled inside because I felt something wasn’t quite right, like I had only received part of the picture.

I remember when we had taken the class Perspectives on the World Christian Movement. Speakers who wrote in the book would come in to teach. One day at the end of the session one of the ministers came up to me and two of my friends who were also in the missions program. He said to them, “Maybe you will go,” and then he turned to me and said, “maybe you won’t…” He said something else to that to make a point, but that had stuck in my head. I knew God was doing something different in my life. We walked away from him that day freaking out over the presence of God we had felt around him. We didn’t experience that in our church, nor did we understand the gifts of the Spirit. But I know now that he was prophecying over us.

It wasn’t until God sent me to Maui, to the YWAM base, that God told me plainly through one of the leaders there what my call was, or part of it at least. This was before revival right after I had returned from my last missions trip. This man of God told me, “You have been working hard towards missions and if you want to take that path God will bless you, but He has called you to reach thousands and large crowds of people at one time. To reach many nations using the gifts He has given you.”

I didn’t see all the in between stuff leading up to this call. I knew the end only, which I have not yet reached. I have had many words and promises of the future since all of which I am waiting for. I am in the beginnings of the first prophecies ever spoken over my life happening right now. And I can honestly say the first one was exactly 20 years ago. See we may see a glimpse of the future, enough to guide is in the general right direction but not the whole thing. See even when I was doing missions overseas I was working with Evangelists conducting crusades, I was doing street evangelism, walking mailbox to mailbox inviting people to the crusade at night, sharing the gospel along the way, doing ministry in various forms to attract crowds to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ. God knew what I needed to learn even though I didn’t.

But I want to say this, no one ever told me that I would prophecy, no one ever told me that I would face the hardship I have, no one told me all the in between stuff. But that is where real life is lived and that is when you put one foot in front of the other and just follow the presence of the Holy Spirit. I knew long ago I was called to the nations. But meanwhile I also filled a role as a youth pastor, drama director, lay witness trainer, worship leader, nursery worker….I worked in the corporate world doing Executive Assistant work, programming, web design, human resources, corporate communications and now account management. The in between time…the preparation that seems to sometimes last forever is what gives you the future. I know now why I know all I do in the corporate world. You know in my own ministry I am my own web designer, my own marketing personnel, my own producer, my own administrator, I do it all and I have the skills to do it all. God knew I would need all of these different skills to accomplish His will but to many of those looking from the outside in they could never understand why I was doing so many different things.

God has called me to be one who has many hats and can do many different things on top of fulfilling my call to the nations, prophecying to those in authority and all the other promises I have on my life. If I never went through the hardship I would never have the compassion, if I never went through the rejection I would never learn that it is not about pleasing man, if I never went through all the training and doing the little things I would never be able to take on what God is asking me to do.

On the days that I seemed to be hoping for something that would never happen, I would of course pray and cry out to God. But most of all, I would follow His presence. In Him there is no time. He is eternal and in His presence I could be in my destiny at that moment. I could speak to things and I could pray for events to come. I learned how to grow in my prophetic gifting and how to intercede. God can so speak to you about what is to come and you can pray years in advance for things that when it happens you are just laughing the whole way to the bank so to speak. You can pray the paths level and straight. You may not know everything, but you know enough to pray.

What has God promised you that you are waiting on? Are you praying it through? Are you aligning your heart? Are you responding to the word spoken?

One day I will share with you all I am doing to align myself with the word. But like I said, I am just now in the process of things coming to pass. So that will be my testimony in the future. Until then, lets pray, press into God and hold fast to what He has said.

Spiritual Death In The Church - Dead To the Spirit instead of dead to the flesh

The other night I had a dream from the Lord. In it I was all excited to jump into a lake and when I did I found that the water was stagnant. That things were growing in it that were icky. In fact, part of it that appeared to be deep was shallow. I then got grossed out and jumped out of the water. But I then saw a lady who was attending to a corpse in the water. She was taping up some plastic around the body. I had discovered the creepy stuff that I felt when I swam was some of that plastic she was using to tape up the body and that there were all sorts of dead bodies they kept in the water. I soon discovered this was their lake and they are the ones who maintained it.

I was then taken into their laboratory. It was a place where they had invested much time into making sure the chemicals where just right, the temperature was just right etc as to keep the dead bodies in the water. I asked her if she liked being there and her response to me was, “Oh yes, we are such a close family. I feel so wanted and loved by everyone here and we have been so close for so many years.”

In this dream the Lord was telling me about a ministry that is dead in the Spirit. They have not kept the Holy Spirit moving through their ministry and as a result those in this ministry are spiritually dead. They invest much time into keeping them dead as well. The right temperature of the word of God preached, the right mixture of things to keep them comfortable. They continue on in this charade because they are comfortable with each other. They like the country club atmosphere of their little clique of friends and they enjoy being liked. It is a ministry that looks like it is anointed but it isn’t, their water is poison. Their teaching appears to be deep but in reality it is very shallow.

Friends just because a ministry or a church makes you feel good and just because you feel welcome there doesn’t mean it is a place that is allowing the Holy Spirit move. Beware of those ministries that would have an appearance of being anointed but are not.

Not long ago I had another dream about visiting a restaurant and the people who attended the restaurant on a normal basis loved the cook. But then when I went into the kitchen I discovered that he was serving everything with alcohol in it. The Lord spoke to me and told me that this was a church where the pastor has a false anointing. He is feeding his people with an anointing that is demonic.

In this hour we have got to be aware and alert! We have to dig into the Word of God ourselves and not just take a preachers word that what he or she says is truth. It is a season where there will be false anointing and false prophets that will arise and although they may appear to have gifts or move in a degree of power they are not of God. You will know them by the unrighteousness that they live in and you will know them by the compromising truth they teach.

If you have never cracked open your bible and studied the Word of God. If you have never understood why you believe what you believe. Now is the time to do it. You may consider yourself a strong Christian but if you don’t know why you believe what you do you can be easily moved by every wave of doctrine or demonstration of power you see. A minister should always be willing to give an answer to what they preach. I always question those who are not willing for you to ask them why or how they got the understanding they did. It is easy to preach what you have heard others say that sounds good, but there are some who have believed lies just because they have always been taught that way. We must have one foundation of truth and Godliness and that is the Word of God!

Here are references from scripture pertaining to this word (I added some extra because it was sooo good):

Revelation 3:1-6

"To the angel of the church in Sardis write:
These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your deeds complete in the sight of my God. Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; obey it, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you. Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy. He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

Rev 3:14-22
"To the angel of the church in Laodicea write:
These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God's creation. I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing. But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent. Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."

Matthew 24:21-51

For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again. If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'There he is!' do not believe it. For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect—if that were possible. See, I have told you ahead of time.

"So if anyone tells you, 'There he is, out in the desert,' do not go out; or, 'Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.

"Immediately after the distress of those days
" 'the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light;
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.'

"At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

"Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.
"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

"Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. I tell you the truth, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, 'My master is staying away a long time,' and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
