Evangelism Outreach

As I was seeking the Lord regarding evangelism He pressed upon my heart the historical foundation of evangelism. I was reminded as to how, as Christians, we used to reach the lost out in the streets where the people are.

One on one evangelism has always been a very active part of my life and I have been successful at that, but I know it is possible to reach more than one person at a time. That is why I am calling all who are saved and planted in a local church to join with me to reach the lost! To go with me out into the streets, to share your faith and fulfill the Great Commission - and GO!

If we evangelize only inside a building then people have to make the commitment to come and it is much harder to get everyone to a location if they do not know they are lost. Some have had bad experiences with church or hurt by people and would not step foot in a church but may be open to receiving prayer or be ministered to if they were approached one on one. Some are backslidden and God needs those filled with love to reach out to them and help them back onto their feet.

Someone recently handed me a book by Bill Johnson where he has been teaching people to do this very same thing. Praying and listening to what the Lord is saying, writing it down and then going out to find who that divine appointment might be.

We have seen some of the most dramatic miracles take place in the middle of the grocery store, on the street, and at the mall. God is waiting for us to be His hands and feet!
